Murray River Cruise & Spring Bulbs of Victoria

Explore the famous Murray River during four nights aboard the newly built paddle steamer, Australian Star. This privately chartered cruise is available to just 30 Botanica guests. Australia’s longest river is populated by majestic river red gums, while its waters are vital to the country’s agriculture. Visit Perricoota Station, which featured in the TV mini-series All the Rivers Run. And admire the first blooms of spring with a visit to the Kyneton Daffodil Festival and the surrounding central Victorian towns.

Depart Melbourne at 9.30 am from the pre-tour hotel. Arrive at a private garden of historical significance for a tour and enjoy lunch in the Macedon Ranges. Continue to Kyneton, where the annual Daffodil Festival takes place. Managed entirely by volunteers, the festival showcases the region’s stunning landscapes, artistic talent, and heartwarming spirit of the community. Visit private gardens in spring bloom and gain an appreciation for the local culture while enjoying the floral spectacle. Local galleries and studios also open their doors, showcasing captivating exhibitions that include traditional paintings to contemporary sculptures. The artistic diversity on display reflects the creative energy that pulsates through Kyneton.
