Known as a ‘City Within a Garden’, Singapore boasts a wealth of verdant gardens. Wander through Singapore Botanic Gardens, the National Orchid Garden, and the Gardens by the Bay complex. Marvel at the lush greenery beneath the vast canopy at Jewel Changi Airport. We conclude our journey with three nights aboard the luxurious Eastern & Oriental Express train, admiring the flourishing jungles, tropical rainforest and pristine beaches of Malaysia’s west coast.

Following lunch on board, we arrive at Merapoh Station and alight for an extraordinary experience. Conservation is at the heart of the Eastern & Oriental Express philosophy, while the Malayan tiger is the country’s national animal. The Eastern & Oriental Express has an ongoing partnership with Save Wild Tigers. Accordingly, we are invited to explore Taman Negara National Park’s “tiger territory”. Meet local villagers and organisations working to protect this noble, critically endangered wild cat and its habitat. Formed 130 million years ago, Taman Negara is one of the oldest tropical rainforests in the world. Its dense jungle, extensive river systems and lush mountains are home to a variety of wildlife, including water buffalo, macaques, tapirs and hornbills. On our return to the train, a delicious dinner precedes an evening of local entertainment in the Piano Bar Car.
